Join us in Ouray to meet new climbing partners, hone your skills, or try climbing for the first time.

  • Whether you're new to outdoor climbing, refining systems, or just wanting to get brush off the cobwebs, join us for a group rock climbing day in Ouray, CO.

    Join solo to meet new partners or bring your longtime rope mate to receive feedback on skills together.

    All abilities and body sizes are welcome. NJA (No Jerks Allowed). (Min 3, Max 6 climbers)

  • Included:

    • 1 day of guided rock climbing by IFMGA Mountain Guides

    • 4:1 guest to guide ratio  (min 2, max 8 climbers)

    • Climbing harness and helmet

    • Group climbing equipment (ropes, anchor material, rock protection)

    • Land use fees

    • $10/pp of rent paid to theBoys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe

    Not Included:

    • Personal snacks/food

    • Personal climbing clothing and equipment per the equipment list

    • Rock climbing shoes (if you don’t own them let us know- we might be able to round some up!)

    • Travel and rescue insurance (highly recommended!)

    • Lodging in Colorado

Rock Climbing Independence Course

Build your skills with three days of rock climbing instruction in Unaweep and Escalante Canyons of southwest Colorado.

  • Introductory to Advanced
    Climbing Grades: 5.6 to 5.10

  • 3 Days

  • Join us for three days of rock climbing in the desert of the southwest! This course will help you build the skills and competence you need to climb independently or take on bigger objectives.

    The days will be tailored to your goals and ability. We might cover:

    • Foundational techniques

    • Technical systems & ropework

    • Multi-pitch techniques

    • Partnership building

    • Climbing movement

    • Crack climbing technique

    Weather and temperature dependent, we will climb in either Unaweep or Escalante Canyon. Exact location TBD in the week before the course.

    All abilities and body sizes are welcome. NJA (No Jerks Allowed). (Min 3, Max 6 climbers)

  • Join us for three days of rock climbing on the diverse rock in the Ouray and Silverton area! This course blends hands-on skill-building with personalized mentorship, whether you're learning the basics, refining your systems, or exploring multi-pitch techniques. With a supportive crew and expert coaching, we’ll build competence and new belay-tionships along the way.

    Ideal for newer climbers, climbing partners, and individuals looking to level up their climbing.

    All abilities, body sizes, and fitness levels welcome (Min 3, Max 6 climbers).

  • Included:

    • 3 days of guided rock climbing by IFMGA Mountain Guides

  • 4 Days Total

    • 3 Days- guided climbing

    • 1 Day- free day (climb, rest, do Vegas things!)

  • Come rock climb on the iconic sandstone of Red Rock Canyon, Nevada. This course blends hands-on skill-building with personalized mentorship—whether you're new to outdoor climbing, refining systems, or stepping into multi-pitch terrain.

    Join solo to meet new partners or bring your longtime rope mate to level up together. Group camping is included (meals not provided). Ideal for newer climbers and those looking to advance their skills. (Min 4, Max 8 climbers)

  • Included

    • 3 days of guided rock climbing by IFMGA Mountain Guides in partnership with The Mountain Guides, an authorized concessionaire

    • 4:1 guest to guide ratio for 2 days & 2:1 for 1 day

    • 5 nights of camping at a group site

    • Climbing harness and helmet

    • Group climbing equipment (ropes, anchor material, rock protection)

    • Land use fees

    • $10/pp of rent paid to a local Indigenous group
